Feeling like you’re in a Halloween Town movie instead of the zoo, 5,000 pumpkins are nestled in a wooded section in the Minnesota Zoo in October, creating a one of a kind Halloween exhibit. Theatrical lighting, and themed music add to the experience as illuminated pumpkins are lined all through out the trail, and even extending into the trees.

For the 2nd year in a row this outdoor event has been extremely popular with tickets selling out in advance, long wait time lines on the weekends, but it is so worth it.

Tickets are only sold online, and can not be bought at the zoo. There are time slots as well to buy tickets for, and make sure to get one before it sells out!

Grab a snack or a drink to heat up before heading into the exhibit. For those 21 and older, I recommend getting a hot apple cider with a shot of Fireball in it.

This years theme: Around The World. Where this years pumpkin artists take you on a journey around the world, true pumpkin carving style.

Start in Mexico, and wind your way to Australia. With Stops to Brazil, Ireland, Germany, France, Japan, England, and Italy along the way. But that’s just not it. There is also so much more to see and entail.
